Rethinking how to sell dairy

We’ve been following this UK dairy brand with great interest since their 2010 “Live in Harmony” campaign won the UK Marketing Association’s Grand Prix earlier this year.

“Boy Band”, which has just won the September/October ThinkBox ad award in the UK, is the follow up campaign and builds on the brand’s singing past. As part of its strategy to make organic dairy modern and accessible, Yeo Valley’s advertising agency, BBH, created a parody boy band (The Churned) singing a song called Forever.

The two-minute long video features the group of strapping young farmers pouring their heart and soul into lyrics about harmony in nature. The ad, filmed on the Yeo Valley farm in Somerset, broke during the first live show of the current series of ITV’s The X Factor.

Client : Yeo Valley

Brief : Promote Yeo Valley’s values and raise awareness of the brand

Ad agency : Bartle Bogle Hegarty
