Exciting new content for Q1 2024
The upcoming new season's content for Q1 2024 will have something to excite all our viewers. With some fan favourites returning with new seasons, some fresh shows hitting for the first time and plenty of exciting sporting clashes, there is plenty to look forward to in 2024. We’ve pulled together a snapshot of content hitting screens in the new year.
Sky
The New Zealand Open is the premier golf tournament in New Zealand and is held at Millbrook Resort Queenstown in New Zealand. The 103rd edition of the event will be held on the 29th of February - 3rd of March, 2024.
The first of the four Grand Slam events of the year; the Australian Open, returns to Melbourne in 2024, 15-28 January. Live coverage will be spread across the Sky Sports channels, and FTA coverage on Sky Open. Daily highlights and replays will be scheduled across Sky Sport and Daily Highlights on Sky Open.
The 2024 FIA Formula One World Championship is contested over twenty-four races held around the world. It begins in late February and ends beginning of December. Drivers and teams compete for the titles of World Drivers' Champion and World Constructors' Champion, respectively. Max Verstappen is the reigning Drivers' Champion, while his team, Red Bull Racing, who were the reigning Constructors' Champions, achieved their sixth title, the second in a row, at the Japanese Grand Prix.
Super Rugby Pacific returns in 2024 with 12 teams competing: Moana Pasifika, Fijian Drua, Blues, Chiefs, Hurricanes, Crusaders, Highlanders, NSW Waratahs, Queensland Reds, Western Force, ACT Brumbies, Melbourne Rebels. There will be 14 regular season matches per team; 11 round-robin matches and 3 rivalry matches. The country’s leading women players will also return for Sky Super Rugby Aupiki in 2024 for an extended competition.

The Warriors 2023 campaign saw players and fans reunited at home after three long seasons spent apart and what a difference it made! The fan support going into the 2024 season should see some great viewership as fans experience the momentum building. The NRL 2024 season is scheduled to last over 30 weeks from March through to September.

The 2023–24 A-League Men, is the 47th season of national level men's soccer in Australia - This season is expected to be the last as a 12-team competition, with expansion to 14 teams from 2024–25. Auckland is set to be one of the new A-League clubs from next year, with Canberra being the other.
The HSBC SVNS 2024 is a series of 8 rugby sevens tournaments that will take place from December 2023 to June 2024 in different locations around the world. This is the official annual circuit of rugby sevens for men’s and women’s national teams - 16 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams competing for points and prizes in each event. The series will also serve as a qualification pathway for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The Pakistan tour of Australia 2023-2024 is scheduled to start on Dec 14 and end on Jan 7. The West Indies tour of Australia 2024 is a bilateral series of cricket matches that will take place in January and February 2024. The series will consist of two Tests, three One Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals. The KFC Big Bash League is the Australian men's professional club Twenty20 cricket league - it features eight city-based franchises.
